Today (Wednesday) marks one year to go until the Valencia 2027 European Athletics Indoor Championships on 4-7 March next year.
Last week (27 February) saw the pre-sale registration for tickets open and a first opportunity for fans to secure their places to see Europe’s best athletes in action in the Spanish city next year.
Valencia has a proud record of hosting major events, the city last hosted the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1998 and it also hosted the World Athletics Indoor Championships in 2008.
The city has also become world-renowned for its road races with European 10km and half marathon records being set in the city in recent months.
With the support of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA), Madrid also hosted a highly successful European Athletics Team Championships 1st Division event in 2025.
Athletics superstars Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Femke Bol, Emmanouil Karalis, Keely Hodgkinson and Yaroslava Mahuchikh are among recent gold medallists at the European Athletics Indoor Championships.
Valencia 2027 is expected to be another historic and unmissable occasion.
