2010 Coaching Summit Series to cover new events

The 2010 European Athletics Coaching Summit Series will include events that have not been covered in previous years.  

Now in its 3rd year, the 2010 series follows a successful year in 2009 which saw increased popularity among coaches across a range of athletics disciplines.

The 2010 programme will include the following measures:

• The 4th European Pole Vault and High Jump Conference: Cologne, Germany, on 19-21 March
• 1st European Race Walking Conference: Leeds, England, on 5-7 November
• 1st European Sprints and Hurdles Conference: London, England, on 13-14 November

The Coaching Summit Series will bring together top athletes, leading coaches and sport scientists in venues where there is specific expertise or a strong tradition in a particular event.

Each of the conferences in 2010 will include a presentation, practical demonstrations, small group workshops, round table discussions, and plenty of opportunities for the participants to discuss all aspects of their event with colleagues and stars from around the world.

European Athletics Member Federations are eligible for two scholarships, worth CHF 400 each, which can be applied towards the travel and accommodation costs of sending participants to any of the measures mentioned.
