German champion Elena Burkard warmed up for next week&rsquo;s Lagoa 2025 SPAR European Cross Country Championships on 14 December with a routine victory against domestic opposition on Saturday (6).
The 33-year-old cruised to victory at the Weinstadt Cross Country on Saturday (6), winning by over two minutes on a 6.6km course. Lagoa will be her eighth appearance at the SPAR European Cross Country Championships, her best result being fifth in the senior women&rsquo;s race at &Scaron;amor&iacute;n 2017.

Apeldoorn is one of the greenest cities in the Netherlands and among the largest municipalities in Gelderland. It is a mid-size city with a population of approximately 161,000. Apeldoorn has a charming and lively inner city and a young, sports-minded population.
