Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships half marathon winner Yemaneberhan Crippa of Italy will compete on home soil at the prestigious "Giro al Sas" 10km in Trento on Saturday 4 October.&nbsp;
It will be the 78th edition of the historic street race in which runners complete 1km laps of Trento&rsquo;s historic city centre in the early evening. Crippa, the 2022 European 10,000m champion, will take on last year&rsquo;s winner Charles Rotich of Kenya.&nbsp;
Previous winners include Italy&rsquo;s Olympic marathon gold medallist Stefano Baldini, five-times world cross country champion Paul Tergat of Kenya and three-times Olympic gold medallist Kenenisa Bekele of Ethiopia.&nbsp;

Apeldoorn is one of the greenest cities in the Netherlands and among the largest municipalities in Gelderland. It is a mid-size city with a population of approximately 161,000. Apeldoorn has a charming and lively inner city and a young, sports-minded population.

The town is easily accessible by car (A1 motorway) and train.
