It was a memorable penultimate evening at Alexander Stadium. Great Britain claimed gold in both the men’s and women’s relays, Julian Weber became the first man in championship history to throw beyond 90 metres, and Andreas Almgren won Sweden’s first-ever European title in the 10,000m.
