Olympic 400m bronze medallist Natalia Bukowiecka (formerly Kaczmarek) spearheads the Poland team for the World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou, China on 10-11 May.
The Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships gold medallist had an indoor season punctuated by injury, but will be hoping for better fortune as the action moves outdoors.
Poland have selected a full quota of athletes for Guangzhou in men’s and women’s 4x100m, men’s and women’s 4x400m, mixed 4x400m and the newly introduced mixed 4x100m.
Justyna Święty-Ersetic and Aleksandra Formella, who were part of Poland’s silver medal winning women’s 4x400m team at the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China in March are also in the team.
The experienced Święty-Ersetic won 400m individual gold at the Berlin 2018 European Athletics Championships and was a member of the Polish mixed 4x400m team that won gold at the Tokyo Olympics.
Also in the team is European Athletics U20 100m and 200m champion Marek Zakrzewski.
