European indoor champions Emmanouil Karalis and Angelica Moser will compete at the Perch’Xtrem in Caen, a World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver meeting, on 30 January.

Karalis will go head-to-head with 2020 Olympic silver medallist Chris Nilsen from the United States who defeated Karalis at this meeting last year, clearing 6.01m for victory ahead of the Greek who cleared 5.90m.

Karalis is embarking on another full indoor season. The world pole vault silver medallist behind Armand Duplantis has already been confirmed for the Perche Elite Tour in Rouen on 7 March and he will also headline the Fly Athens Indoor 2026 in Athens on 7 February.

The line-up also features home favourites Renaud Lavillenie, the 2012 Olympic champion and Armand Duplantis’ predecessor as world record-holder, and Thibaut Collet who finished third and fifth respectively at last year’s edition.

The women’s line-up is headed by Switzerland’s Angelica Moser who won her second European indoor title in Apeldoorn last year to accompany her European outdoor gold medal from Rome in 2024, a title she will be defending in Birmingham in August.

Moser, who also won at this meeting last year with a 4.71m clearance, faces reigning world indoor champion Marie-Julie Bonnin from France along with New Zealanders Imogen Ayris and Olivia McTaggart and Brazil’s Juliana de Menis Campos, all of whom also reached the World Athletics Championships final in Tokyo.

The full World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver, Bronze and Challenger schedule in Europe can be found here.

More details about live streaming will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
