European shot put champion outdoors Leonardo Fabbri has confirmed her first international appearance of the indoor season at the Czech Indoor Gala in Ostrava on Tuesday 3 February.
The Italian giant who won gold at the Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships and bronze at the World Athletics Championships will be seeking an improved indoor season after this year, where he was eliminated in the qualifying round at the Apeldoorn 2025 European Athletics Indoor Championships.
The World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meeting will see Fabbri take on home favourite and 2021 European indoor champion Tomas Stanek, as well as Jamaican Olympic bronze medallist Rajindra Campbell.
Sutej and Švábíková set for pole vault clash
Meanwhile, two names confirmed early for the women’s pole vault are Slovenia’s world bronze medallist Tina Sutej and Czechia’s Amálie Švábíková who triumphed at the Madrid 2025 European Athletics Team Championships 1st Division.
