Representatives from five Member Federations recently visited the European Athletics Head Office in Lausanne, Switzerland as part of Onboarding (18-20 November).
Onboarding is a European Athletics programme designed to help incoming senior leaders of Member Federations get acquainted with the structures and activities of European Athletics.
The aim is to proactively provide a Member Federation's leaders with support from European Athletics as soon they are elected or appointed so that a relationship between the two parties can develop quickly and constructively.
The Member Federations in attendance were Danish Athletics, German Athletics Association, Swiss Athletics, Ukraine Athletics Federation and UK Athletics.
The representatives met with European Athletics President Dobromir Karamarinov, European Athletics CEO Christian Milz, European Athletics staff and were given presentations on Development, Governance and Event Bidding. Whilst in Lausanne, the party also visited the city’s Olympic Museum.
An objective in the European Athletics Strategic Roadmap 2024-2027 is on community, including maintaining and strengthening European Athletics’ strong relationship with key stakeholders and the wider athletics family. Onboarding is a key part of that effort.
