Georg Fleischhauer, who reached the men's 400m hurdles final at the Helsinki 2012 European Athletics Championships, took gold in the two-man bobsleigh on Tuesday (17) to complete a German sweep of the podium.
The 37-year-old, alongside his partner Johannes Lochner, took a dominant win with a 1.34s gap ahead of their countrymen in second place.

After setting a track record in heat three, it seemed certain that the pair would go on to confirm their win the following day - and that they did.
Fleischhauer will also be competing in the four-man on 21 and 22 February where he will hope to return to the podium and bring home another medal from his first Olympics
Cardona Coll makes history
On Thursday (19) Oriol Cardona Coll also won his first Olympic medal after storming to gold in ski mountaineering in a time of 2:34.03, more than one and half seconds ahead of second.
Cardona Coll had previously found success in mountain running, even winning team gold and individual bronze at the 2019 World Long Distance Mountain Running Challenge for Spain.

Milano Cortina is the first time that ski mountaineering has been included in the Winter Olympics, making Cardona Coll the first ever men’s Olympic champion in the event.
"The feeling is amazing. I've been dreaming about being here, about winning the race a lot of times and finally the dream has come true," the 31-year-old Spaniard said.
"It means a lot for us as a country. Also means a lot for the ski mountaineering family to be here."
But the feat was also a major achievement for Spain, as his victory marked the first gold medal in over half a century for the nation at the Winter Olympics.
