With less than two weeks to go until the European Athletics U18 Championships, taking place in Rieti from 16 to 19 July, preparations are entering their final stage. While the Raul Guidobaldi Stadium is ready to welcome Europe's best young athletes, the atmosphere will extend well beyond the competition venue thanks to the event's Fan Village.
Located next to the stadium, the Fan Village will be open throughout the championships, providing a welcoming space for spectators, athletes, officials and volunteers to gather before, during and after each session. Designed as an integral part of the event experience, it will combine entertainment, hospitality and opportunities to discover the local area.
The Fan Village will be centred in Piazzale Leoni and will officially open on the first day of competition. Visitors will be able to enjoy exhibition stands, a food court, dedicated areas for event partners and sponsors, and a stage hosting a variety of activities and live entertainment. A hospitality area will also welcome guests and institutional representatives, creating a dedicated space for meetings and networking.
Official event merchandise will be available throughout the championships, alongside exhibitors representing the Rieti area and showcasing its food, local products and community organisations. The Fan Village will offer an opportunity to celebrate not only European athletics, but also the culture, traditions and excellence of the host city.
Each evening, the entertainment programme will continue on the stage located near the PalaCordoni, featuring live music, performances and special guests, creating a vibrant atmosphere for athletes, fans and the local community alike.
The full programme of evening entertainment and side events will be announced shortly. Throughout the championships, the Fan Village aims to become the social heart of Rieti 2026—the place where everyone can meet, relax and celebrate Europe's premier U18 athletics event together.
