Following her blistering 1:56.33 800m season opener at the UK Indoor Championships that saw her clock 56.28 through 400m, the Olympic champion will race over 400m in Glasgow on 1 March.
Her short track 400m PB stands at 52.42 which she set in 2022, but her recent form suggests she could dip under this and run closer to her outdoor PB of 51.61.
Hodgkinson is certainly familiar with the 400m and won bronze in the event at the Espoo 2023 European Athletics U23 Championships with a strong finish that saw her climb up from the back of the field.
However, Scottish Athletics understand she will be facing fellow 800m running Brit Issy Boffey who stormed to 1:57.43 on 30 January and held the world lead for 11 days.
Boffey’s short track 400m PB was also set in 2022 and stands at 53.39, but after a boost in incredible form this indoor season she could be set to knock time off her best.
Hunter Bell set for 800m
Hodgkinson will be joined by several members of her training group M11, coached by Trevor Painter and Jenny Meadows, in Glasgow including European, Olympic and word medallist Georgia Hunter Bell.
The Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships 800m silver medallist, Hunter Bell, will be racing over the four laps in Glasgow while fellow M11 member Ethan Hussey goes in the men’s race.

Glasgow will mark Hunter Bell’s first race over 800m since winning silver in Tokyo as she continues to pursue both the shorter middle-distance race and the 1500m ahead of the Birmingham 2026 European Athletics Championships.
European and world finalist Katie Snowden headlines the 1500m and will be joined by Erin Wallace and 2025 SPAR European Cross Country Championships relay bronze medallist Ava Lloyd.
