The IAAF has invited EAA Member Federations to nominate sprints and hurdles coaches to take part in its Academy course at Loughborough University in Great Britain from 2 to 9 July.

Among the event specific lecturers scheduled to speak are Malcolm Arnold, the coach of 110m hurdles world record holder Colin Jackson (GBR). The general units of the course will be taught by resident lecturers from the university, which is well known for its sports science programmes.

Because of the advanced level of the course, participants will be required to meet pre-requisites set by the IAAF.

Course fees and materials will be covered by the IAAF. Participants will be responsible for their travel to/from the course and accommodation costs, which will be £40 per day (full board).

Applications close on 15 June and allocation of the limited course places to eligible applicants will be made on a first come - first served basis.

Federations interested in nominating a coach or coaches for the course should contact the IAAF (stephane@iaaf.org) for further information.
