With momentum building towards the Lagoa 2025 SPAR European Cross Country Championships builds, the Czech Cross Country Championships takes place in Holešov on Saturday (29).
In the senior men’s endurance race, Jáchym Kovář is aiming for his fifth consecutive title and a seventh appearance at the SPAR European Cross Country Championships. His main challenger is Martin Zajíc a nine-times Czech champion on track and road.
The senior women’s race features twice Olympic marathon runner Tereza Hrochová, who placed 9th in the women’s marathon at the European Running Championships in Brussels-Leuven in April.
In the men’s U20 race, Adam Červinka, who won silver in the 2000 m steeplechase at the Banská Bystrica 2024 European Athletics U18 Championships is a likely contender.
