Slovenia’s Klara Lukan ran the fourth-fastest 10km by a European athlete this year, clocking 30:54 in Ljubljana on Sunday (19).
Already the European leader after a superb 30:26 performance in Castellón, Spain, in February and the 10km bronze medallist at the European Running Championships in Brussels-Leuven in April, the 25-year-old gave home supporters plenty to cheer about in the Slovenian capital as she cruised to victory.
Second place went to her international teammate Liza Šajn, 11th in the half marathon at Brussels-Leuven 2025, who set a personal best of 31:56.
The race formed part of the wider Ljubljana Marathon weekend.
