European 100m champion and Tokyo Olympic 100m champion Marcell Jacobs will make his first appearance of the 2025 summer season at the Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland on 17 June.
Jacobs made only one appearance in the indoor season in Boston, USA on 2 February before drawing a close due to injury. He is now set to return to action over 100m at a venue where he ran a season’s best 9.92 (+1.5m/s) last year.
He confirmed to the news to La Gazzetta dello Sport and also committed to the Roma Sprintfestival at the Stadio dei Marmi on 20 June, before representing Italy in the 4x100m at the European Athletics Team Championships in Madrid on 27-29 June, where the Azzurri will try to defend the title won at Silesia 2023.
