Portgual have confirmed the selection of 18 athletes for the second edition of the European Off-Road Running Championships taking place in Annecy, France 30 May-2 June.
The Iberian nation has a proud history of endurance running especially on the track and roads - and hosted two editions of what was formerly the European Mountain Running Championships -&nbsp;but will be seeking to improve upon their results at the last edition of the championships in El Paso, Spain where their best placing was seventh in the senior men&rsquo;s classic hill team standings.

Apeldoorn is one of the greenest cities in the Netherlands and among the largest municipalities in Gelderland. It is a mid-size city with a population of approximately 161,000. Apeldoorn has a charming and lively inner city and a young, sports-minded population.

The town is easily accessible by car (A1 motorway) and train.
