Ukraine sprinter Olesya Povh confirmed her status as Europe’s top women over 60m this winter with a win in 7.16 at the second of the three Kuldliiga meetings in Tallinn, Estonia, on Thursday.
Only Povh herself has gone faster among European sprinters this year clocking 7.14 in Sumy and then 7.15 in Zaporizhzhiya, both venues being in her native Ukraine, last month.
Behind Povh again in Tallinn, just as she had been in her previous two races, was her compatriot Mariya Ryemen but at least she was rewarded with a personal best of 7.20.
Latvia’s Normunds Pupols of Latvia cleared 2.24m in the men’s high jump to defeat Ukraine’s former world champion Yuri Krimarenko, who got over 2.20m for second place.
Another Latvian victory came in the men’s shot put as Maris Urtans sent his implement out to 19.63m. Belarus’s Aleksandr Linnik won the men’s 60 m in 6.77.
