The official candidates for the Presidency of European Athletics will present their election manifestos during a special “Meet Your Future President” session in Prague on Sunday 8 March.
The three confirmed candidates, Jean Gracia (FRA), Svein Arne Hansen (NOR), and Antti Pihlakoski (FIN), will address European Athletics Member Federations, Council members, Honorary Council members and Commission members.
The candidates will be given 12 minutes each to present their strategy for the future of European Athletics before a question and answer session of up to 2 hours.
Incumbent President Hansjörg Wirz will hand over to the new President at the European Athletics Congress in Bled, Slovenia, on Saturday 11 April after 16 years of leading the organisation.
Five invitations per Member Federation will be distributed in advance for the special session. It is the decision of each Member Federation to whom it will distribute the invitations.
In addition, Presidential candidates, European Athletics Council members, Honorary Council members, IAAF Council members, European Athletics staff and LOC working people dedicated to the meeting will be allowed to attend.
Access will be strictly controlled by security, with only an invitation securing access to the room. The session will be closed to the media.
The session takes place on Sunday 8 March at 09:00-12:00 at the Clarion Congress Hotel, Prague.
