Four-time SPAR European Cross Country Championships medallist Alina Reh will open her campaign towards this year’s event in Lagoa on 14 December at the Olympiaberg Cross Country in Munich on Sunday (26).
The competition is the first fixture in this season’s German Cross Country Cup. Reh won bronze in the senior women’s race at the Piemonte-La Mandria Park 2022 and Dublin 2021, plus she also won gold in the women’s U23 race in Šamorín 2017 and bronze in the U20 race in Hyères-Toulon 2015.
Still only 28, Reh has also significant track pedigree, winning 10,000m bronze at the Berlin 2018 European Athletics Championships.
Mountain and track medallist Ehrle opens cross season
Also entered for Olympiaberg is multi-talented 18-year-old Julia Ehrle. The current world and European U20 mountain running champion was fourth in the women’s U20 race at the Antalya 2024 SPAR European Cross Country Championships.
She also won 3000m silver at the Banska Bystrica 2024 European Athletics U18 Championships and 5000m bronze at the Tampere 2025 European Athletics U20 Championships.
