  • Spotted on social | Ingebrigtsen’s family time, Hassan inspires, and Robert-Michon targets eighth Olympics

Take a look at what some of Europe’s athletes have been up to in the last week on social media as we dive into the outdoor season.

Hodgkinson’s training camp

Keely Hodgkinson gave us an insight into the glitz and not-so-glam moments of her training camp in South Africa.

It’s not all matcha and tanning for the M11 track club as the world indoor record holder mixes in some rough reality checks.

Hassan inspiring the next generation

After having to pull out of the London Marathon, Sifan Hassan made sure to still make her way to the British capital last weekend.

She was there handing out medals to the young athletes who took part in the mini marathon on the Saturday.

Family time for Ingebrigtsen

Athletes often spend weeks, if not months, away from home at a time for training camps and competitions, but Jakob Ingebrigtsen is making sure to spend key time with his family before his season starts.

The Norwegian hasn’t competed since the Tokyo world championships in September where he placed 10th in the 5000m and didn’t make it through the 1500m heats.

Targeting an eighth Olympics

French discus legend, Melina Robert-Michon, has confirmed that she will try to make her eighth Olympics as she targets the LA 2028 Games.

She made her Olympic debut in Sydney 2000 at 21-years-old and currently holds the joint highest number of Olympic appearances by a woman in athletics, but if she achieves this goal she will take that title outright from Merlene Ottey.

April shenanigans

Julian Weber shared some snippets of what he got up to in April, including a mix of training and family time.

Oh, and the German discovered he’s maybe not a natural born pianist, although he can certainly dance!

McGrath’s personal challenge

Before going on to win bronze in the 20km race walk at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo last year, Paul McGrath had promised himself that if he took a medal he would run from his house to Montserrat Abbey, which are 51km apart.

Last week, he completed just that. It took McGrath just over five hours to complete the challenge and fulfil the promise to himself.

Hunt-ing at the NBA

World 200m silver medallist Amy Hunt went to her first NBA playoff game where Orlando Magic beat Detroit Pistons in game three of the series.

She shared a full vlog of her day on her YouTube channel including some snippets of her training out in America before she heads back to Italy.

Manolo off track

Emmanouil Karalis has been enjoying the small gap between winning silver at the World Athletics Indoor Championships and opening his outdoor season.

Golf, good food, and music. Could we see Karalis join Mondo on a song, or maybe even make his own?

Beauty of South Africa

South Africa is a popular destination for training camps, with the weather and country’s beauty, you can see why.

The reigning European champion, Leonardo Fabbri, made his way to the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town to admire a stunning sunset while based out there to train.

Season tease from Adeleke

As if we weren’t excited enough for the summer, Rhasidat Adeleke shared some clips of her training recently alongside throwbacks to previous races.

She opened her individual outdoor season with 22.86 in the 200m to take the current third spot in the European rankings ahead of the Birmingham 2026 European Athletics Championships.
