We saw Matthew Hudson-Smith claim gold on his home track and witnessed Finnish hammer-throwing history as Silja Kosonen secured her first European title.
The evening was rounded off by hurdles victories for Emma Zapletalova in the 400m hurdles and Jason Joseph taking gold in the men’s 110m hurdles.
