World medallists Jan Stefela and Maria Zodzik, plus European indoor champion Oleh Doroshchuk headline a high-quality line up at the High Jump Meeting Beskyd Bar, a World Indoor Tour silver meeting, on Tuesday (10), which will be live streamed on the European Athletics YouTube channel at 15:30 CET.

The Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships bronze medallist Stefela will compete in front of a home Czechia crowd as he attempts to win the competition for the third time in a row.

However, he will face tough competition in Ukrainian duo, the Apeldoorn 2025 European Athletics Indoor Championships winner Doroshchuk and Dmytro Nikitin, alongside USA's Olympic silver medallist Shelby McEwen.

Stefela and Doroshchuk have a ongoing rivalry, with the Czech narrowly beating the Ukranian in Tokyo after the pair both cleared 2.31m and it went down to countback to see who would make the podium.

However at the Rome 2024 European Championships, the Ukrainian came out on top when yet again he and Stefela jumped the same height, but instead Doroshchuk just made the medals instead of the Czech.

Doroshchuk then outjumped Stefela at Apeldoorn 2025, where the Czech settled for silver. But with a season of run ins ahead, leading to a crescendo at Birmingham 2026 European Athletics Championships, this competition will give a taste of what’s to come.

Another name to watch is Poland’s Mateusz Kolodziejski who has improved his personal best by six centimetres already this year when he jumped 2.30m in Hustopece on Saturday (7).

Japan’s Naoto Hasegawa also cleared 2.30m for the first time at the same meet as Kolodziejski in his season opener and will also be travelling to Czechia.

Greece’s Antonios Merlos, Mexico’s Jair Portillo and Erick Portillo will also compete to form an elite line up.

Zodzik leads women's field

Maria Zodzik, the Tokyo 2025 silver medallist, leads the strong European field and will compete for the third time this season after jumping 1.87m at home in Lodz followed by 1.94m in Madrid.

She will be joined by Espoo 2023 European Athletics U23 Championships winner, Elena Kulichenko of Cyprus, Germany’s European and world finalist Imke Onnen, 2023 European indoor bronze medallist Kateryna Tabashnyk of Ukraine and Greece’s Tatiana Gusin.

But looking to challenge the Europeans, is 2022 world champion Eleanor Patterson of Australia and Jamaican record holder Lamara Distin.

Patterson cleared 1.96m on Saturday (7) to equal her best season opener as she looks to clear two metres again for the first time since 2022.

While Distin cleared 1.93m at the same meet as Patterson and will be looking to shake up the global stage after failing to measure a height at Tokyo 2025.
