Pole vault stars are set to dazzle at the Perche des Alpes World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meet on 1 July, live on European Athletics’ YouTube from 18:10 (CET).
Australia’s world championship bronze medallist, Kurtis Marschall, headlines the event after recently defeating Mondo Duplantis at the Stockholm Diamond League.
Marschall has cleared 6.00m twice this year, but his best performance outdoors still stands just shy at 5.90m.
He’ll be joined by America’s Chris Nilsen, who took silver at the Tokyo Olympics and 2022 world championships along with bronze the following year for the Budapest world championships.
However, France is fielding a strong home line up including Baptiste Thiery, a former decathlete, who set a new PB of 5.93m at the Paris Diamond League on 28 June - the eve of his 25th birthday.
Thibaut and Mathieu Collet also join the line up with season’s bests of 5.85m and 5.75m respectively.
While 25-year-olds Robin Emig and Ethan Cormont complete the men’s field having also jumped 5.60m and 5.80m respectively this year.
The women’s even is lead by Nayah Cauvin who has a season’s best of 4.54m having also placed fifth at the Bergen 2025 European Athletics Championships.
Although also joining her on the runway will be Margot Chevrier, Albane Dordain, Emma Brentel, Louise Boulent, Lea Mauberret, and Italy’s Great Nnachi.
The meeting record of 4.32m looks likely to be broken as five of the athletes have surpassed that mark already this year.
