  • Watch LIVE! Triple jump legend Nelson Évora set for Lisbon comeback

Olympic, world and European triple jump gold medallist Nelson Évora will make a comeback to competition after a three-year absence at the Meeting Cidade de Lisboa on Wednesday (10).

The World Athletics Continental Tour Challenger meeting is being live streamed on the European Athletics YouTube from 17:25 CEST.

Now 42, Évora won gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, a year after taking gold at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. His last major title came at the Berlin 2018 European Athletics Championships.

Cá, Sousa and Bazolo also set for Lisbon

He is unlikely to be reviving such form, but there will be plenty of intrigue surrounding the Portuguese icon.
With a largely domestic field, the other standout names include discus throwers Liliana Cá and Emanuel Sousa.

39-year-old Cá won bronze in the women's discus at the Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships and 27-year-old Sousa recently won silver at the Ibero American Championships in Lima.

Four-times Olympian and four-times European semi finalist Lorene Bazolo is set to race over 100m and 200m.
