Despite the late withdrawal of European champion Audrey Werro, a top class field has been assembled for the GalAthletics Bellinzona on Sunday (30), with the action live streamed on the European Athletics website from 18:25 CEST.
Italian distance-running superstar Nadia Battocletti who recently retained both her European 5000m and 10,000m titles at Birmingham 2026 will step down to 1500m and face two-time European 1500m champion Laura Muir (GBR).
There are plenty more fascinating match-ups throughout the programme.
These include Switzerland’s European champion Angelica Moser against Olympic silver medallist Sandi Morris (USA) and European bronze medallist Marie-Julie Bonnin (FRA) in the women’s pole vault.
Swiss world champion Ditaji Kambundji will also take on newly crowned European champion Nadine Visser (NED) in the women’s 100m hurdles.
In the absense of Werro, the two lap race features European indoor 1500m champion Agathe Guillemot (FRA), three-time European 800m silver medallist Renelle Lamote (FRA) and world indoor bronze medallist Addison Wiley (USA).
Other star athletes set to appear include men’s 110m hurdles world record-holder Ja'Kobe Tharp (USA), European indoor 400m champion Attila Molnar (HUN) and world indoor 60m champion Zaynab Dosso (ITA) in what promises to be a high-quality World Athletics Continental Tour meeting.
