Field events take centre stage in the two live streamed World Athletics Indoor Tour events coming up this week before the focus moves to a busy national indoor championships window this weekend when places for the Apeldoorn 2025 European Athletics Indoor Championships from 6-9 March.

World high jump record-holder Yaroslava Mahuchikh will be seeking a record-equalling fourth victory in the prestigious high jump-only meeting in Banska Bystrica on Tuesday evening.
Mahuchikh soared to a meeting record of 2.06m - also her best ever jump indoors - in 2021 and if she wins again tomorrow, the Ukrainian will match Blanka Vlasic’s record of four victories in the Stiavnicky Sport Hall.
Her main rivals include Australia’s 2022 world outdoor champion Eleanor Patterson and two-time European outdoor medallist Angelina Topic from Serbia who won last year with a 1.97m clearance.
The men’s competition is headed by last year’s winner Sanghyeok Woo from South Korea who also won in 2022 with a 2.35m clearance.

The shot put competitions traditionally take centre stage at the Hvezdy v Nehvizdech meeting just outside Prague.
The men’s line-up features reigning European outdoor champion Leonardo Fabbri from Italy against leading Czech hope Tomas Stanek, the 2021 European indoor champion, and Olympic bronze medallist Rajindra Campbell from Jamaica.
The women’s shot put competition is headlined by reigning world indoor champion Sarah Mitton from Canada who threw a massive world lead of 20.68m for victory in Karlsruhe earlier this morning.
