With momentum building towards the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Kujawy Pomorze on 20–22 March, athletics fans can look forward to another thrilling week of World Athletics Indoor Tour events, streamed live on European Athletics channels this week (28 January–1 February).

Springer Meeting Cottbus 2026 (GER) – World Athletics Indoor Tour Bronze
When: Wednesday 28 January

Men’s pole vault and women’s high jump feature in this jumps-only spectacle. Twice world champion Sam Kendricks from the United States, Poland’s three-time world medallist Piotr Lisek and European indoor gold medallist Menno Vloon the Netherlands are among the pole vaulters striving for six-metre clearances to thrill an appreciative crowd.
In the high jump, Ukraine’s former world silver medallist Yuliya Levchenko faces a strong German challenge including Imke Onnen and Johanna Goring.
Meeting Miramas Métropole (FRA) – World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver
When: Friday 30 January

Italy’s European 110m hurdles champion Lorenzo Simonelli and the Netherlands’ European indoor 800m champion Samuel Chapple are among a strong international line-up. Simonelli will contest the men’s 60m hurdles, while Chapple will compete in the men’s 1500m.
In the men’s 60m, Great Britain’s Romell Glave returns to action after a superb recent win in Stockholm. He faces a strong field including African and Commonwealth gold medallist Ferdinand Omanyala of Kenya.

The pole vault meeting sees world silver medallist Emmanouil Karalis of Greece face a strong international field in the men’s competition, including US record-holder KC Lightfoot (6.07m), Tokyo Olympic silver medallist and teammate Chris Nilsen and Philippines' 2023 world silver medallist Ernest John Obiena.
In the women’s competition, world indoor champion Marie-Julie Bonnin lines up against a quality field including European indoor and outdoor champion Angelica Moser of Switzerland and Estonia’s talented Allika Inkeri Moser, who set a world U18 best of 4.52m last year.
Gran Premio Ciudad de Valencia (ESP) – World Athletics Indoor Tour Bronze
When: Saturday 31 January

Spanish 200m record-holder Jael Bestue and European 110m hurdles silver medallist Enrique Llopis are two of the high-profile home athletes in action at the Grand Premio Ciudad de Valencia, the venue for the 2027 European Athletics Indoor Championships.
Bestue steps down in distance to contest the 60m while Llopis lines up in the 60m hurdles. He is already in excellent form, taking a recent victory in Dusseldorf in 7.50 to come within 0.02 of his national record.

2023 European indoor 800m champion Adrian Ben and 2022 European outdoor 800m champion Mariano Garcia are due to go head-to-head over 1500m while European U23 triple jump champion Alexia Dospin from Romania is among the standout entrants for the women's triple jump.
EAP Indoor International Glasgow 2026 – World Athletics Indoor Tour Challenger

Belgium’s Alexander Doom returns to the scene of his 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships triumph, racing over 400m in Glasgow once again. British internationals Andrew Robertson and Imani Lansiquot lead the entries for the men’s and women’s 60m sprints.

Meeting de l’Eure, Val-de-Reuil (FRA) – World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver

World champion Jessica Schilder of the Netherlands headlines the field events in Val-de-Reuil. There is also plenty of exciting track action with France’s European indoor silver medallist Clara Liberman pitched against European U23 champion Audrey Werro of Switzerland in the women’s 800m.
European indoor 1500m champion Agathe Guillemot contests the women’s mile while Wilhem Belocian faces strong opposition from 2022 European 110m hurdles champion Asier Martinez and Belgian record-holder Elie Bacari in the 60m hurdles. Just Kwaou-Mathey will contest the 60m flat rather than the 60m hurdles.
Reigning world indoor and outdoor champion Leyanis Perez Hernandez will be the centre of attention in the women's triple jump while 2022 European champion Wilma Murto makes her season's debut in the pole vault.
