World and European bronze medallist Lonah Chemtai Salpeter is set for the Amsterdam Marathon on Sunday (19).

The Israeli runner who won bronze at the Oregon 2022 World Athletics Championships and earlier this year at the inaugural Brussels-Leuven European Running Championships, logged a DNF at the recent World Athletics Championships in Tokyo and will be seeking redemption in the Dutch city.

The 36-year-old is also a former European 10,000m champion from Berlin 2018 and was eighth in the marathon at last year’s Paris Olympics. National champion Anne Luijten will lead the home challenge in the women’s race, with five-times Dutch champion Khalid Choukoud carrying home hopes in the men’s race.
