World and European bronze medallist Lonah Chemtai Salpeter is set for the Amsterdam Marathon on Sunday (19).&nbsp;
The Israeli runner who won bronze at the Oregon 2022 World Athletics Championships and earlier this year at the inaugural Brussels-Leuven European Running Championships, logged a DNF at the recent World Athletics Championships in Tokyo and will be seeking redemption in the Dutch city.
The 36-year-old is also a former European 10,000m champion from Berlin 2018 and was eighth in the marathon at last year&rsquo;s Paris Olympics. National champion Anne Luijten will lead the home challenge in the women&rsquo;s race, with five-times Dutch champion Khalid Choukoud carrying home hopes in the men&rsquo;s race.

Apeldoorn is one of the greenest cities in the Netherlands and among the largest municipalities in Gelderland. It is a mid-size city with a population of approximately 161,000. Apeldoorn has a charming and lively inner city and a young, sports-minded population.
