  • 9.87! Amo-Dadzie goes to fifth on European all-time 100m list

Eugene Amo-Dadzie moved to joint fifth on the all-time European men’s 100m list with a blistering personal best of 9.87 (+2.0m/s) at Lee Valley, London on Saturday (30).

It was also a European lead for the 33-year-old athlete who will represent Great Britain in the 4x100m at this month’s World Athletics Championships, but not in the individual sprint. It moves him alongside 1992 Olympic champion Linford Christie in the continent's all-time charts.

Earlier this year, Amo-Dadzie won the men’s 100m for Great Britain at the European Athletics Team Championships 1st Division in Madrid.

Irish record for Oluntande and U18 best for Iheme

In perfect conditions at Saturday’s BFTTA Outdoor Series 5, Israel Olutande set a new Irish record of 10.08 in second place and Ade Adewale was third in 10.09. In different heat, 15-year-old Divine Iheme achieved 10.29 (+1.7m/s) in a British U18 best, also a European all-time best for 15 years old sprinters.
