Luxembourg is sending four athletes to the Lagoa 2025 European Cross Country Championships, including Ruben Querinjean, who recently triumphed at the Belgian Cross Country Championships, getting the better of world 5000m silver medallist Issac Kimeli.
The 24-year-old won 3000m steeplechase gold at the World University Games this summer, he will travel to Portugal buoyed by his recent form and hoping to improve on his 24th place in the senior men’s race at last year’s event in Antalya, Türkiye.
He will be joined in the party of four by Niall Foley (senior men), Damien Pechon (men’s U20) and Pol Stoffel (men’s U20).
