British world medallists Amy Hunt, Keely Hodgkinson and Georgia Hunter Bell are set for a late-season outing in New York, USA, on Friday, 10 October.

They will compete in ATHLOS NYC, billed as the "first women’s-only professional track and field competition." The event blends sport, music and culture, and will feature a live performance by Grammy Award-winning artist Ciara at Icahn Stadium.

Battle on for Hunt

Hunt, who won a breakthrough silver in the 200m at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, will face USA’s Anavia Battle, fourth behind Hunt in Tokyo, and Paris Olympic bronze medallist Brittany Brown.

Hunter-Bell and Hodgkinson, silver and bronze medallists respectively in Tokyo, line up in a high-quality 800m field. Their rivals include 2023 world champion Mary Moraa of Kenya and Ethiopian Olympic silver medallist Tsige Duguma.

Olympic champion Hodgkinson will be especially keen to round off the season with a victory, having suffered her first 800m defeat in two years in Tokyo.

In the 400m, European U23 champion Henriette Jaeger of Norway and Great Britain’s world indoor champion Amber Anning will take on Olympic champion Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic and former world champion Salwa Eid Naser of Bahrain.
