2024 European U18 champion Serena Di Fabio established the first European U20 record in the 5000m race walk at the Italian U20 Championships in Caorle on Saturday (4).
The 18-year-old stopped the clock at 20:42.74 - a world U20 lead and the fourth fastest time in history in this age group - which was comfortably inside the target record time of 21:30.
Di Fabio will be looking to emulate this success at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene from 5-9 August. She leads the 2026 world U20 list by more than one minute.&nbsp;
Double European U20 champion Kelly Doualla won the women&rsquo;s 100m title in 11.44 and Daniele Inzoli leapt out to 7.78m to win the men&rsquo;s long jump title.
