European Athletics launches Facebook page for Athletics Community

Thumbs are up for the new Athletics Community Facebook page, which was launched by European Athletics last week.

The new page is the latest promotional effort for the Community -   a unique space for active young people interested in athletics, developing their skills, community service and making new friends.

Through the Community's website, members can get recognition from European Athletics and UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) for volunteer work and projects done on behalf of athletics.  Since its launch in 2011, the Community's 1,500 members have contributed more than 29,000 hours and started more than 150 projects.

On the new Facebook page, you will be able to learn about the Community members and their great projects.  You will also be able to engage with some of the smartest young brains in the sport.
