World high jump silver and bronze medallists Maria Zodzik from Poland and Serbia’s Angelina Topic will go head-to-head at the Orlen Cup in Lodz, a World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver meeting, on 25 January.

In a rain-affected final, Zodzik cleared 2.00m for the first time in her career to win silver at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo while Topic won her first global senior medal with bronze.

This will be Zodzik’s first competitive appearance on Polish soil since winning silver in Tokyo. She will also jump the following week at the Gorzow Jump Festival, another World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver event, on 1 February.

World and European silver medallist Emmanouil Karalis from Greece is also confirmed for the pole vault. He won at this meeting last year with a 5.92m clearance. He will face a field including Polish record-holder and home favourite Piotr Lisek, the 2017 European indoor champion.

Fellow 2017 European indoor champion and home favourite Konrad Bukowiecki will face reigning European indoor champion Andrei Toader from Romania and Jamaica’s Olympic bronze medallist Rajindra Campbell in the shot put.

As previously announced, European indoor champion Jakub Szymanski will compete in the 60m hurdles. Szymanski won last year in a Polish record of 7.39 to move to equal second on the European all-time list.

European U23 100m hurdles champion Alicja Sielska has also been announced for the women’s 60m hurdles.

The full schedule of World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver, Bronze and Challenger events can be found here.

Live streaming details for the 2026 indoor season will be communicated in the upcoming weeks.
