The ten winners of the Gold Crowns were confirmed as the Birmingham 2026 European Athletics Championships drew to a conclusion on Sunday (16).
First launched at Roma 2024, the leading performances across 10 event groups at the European Athletics Championships are each awarded a Gold Crown and a performance bonus of €50,000.
Norway, Switzerland and Sweden both had two winners each with five of the winners also leaving Birmingham 2026 with championship records.

- Men’s throws – Kristjan Ceh (SLO), discus, 72.51m CR
- Women’s throws – Jessica Schilder (NED), shot put, 20.73m
- Men’s jumps – Armand Duplantis (SWE), pole vault, 6.15m CR
- Women’s jumps – Angelica Moser (SUI), pole vault, 4.80m
- Men’s Road, Combined Events and Relays – Massimo Stano (ITA), marathon walk, 2:56.49
- Women’s Road, Combined Events and Relays – Sofia Fiorini (ITA), marathon, 3:15.11 ER, WL
The Gold Crown initiative supports the vision of the European Athletics Strategic Roadmap 2024-2027 in which competition and athletes are prioritised and it includes an objective to “strengthen the European Athletics Championships, attracting the best athletes and creating the best possible event for fans, sponsors and broadcasters alike.”
