On Saturday (11) Juliane Hvid and Joel Ibler Lillesø took gold at the Danish 10km road running championships held in Arhus.
Lillesø, the reigning European U23 10,000m champion, took the men’s win in 29:28 having set a new national record of 27:55 in France earlier just the week prior.
He beat former European U20 silver medallist Axel Vang Christensen (29:33) and Jonas Gertsen (29:34) to the finish line after racing through the second largest city in Denmark.
In the women’s race, Hvid added a third national title to her collection in 32:42 after setting a new PB of 32:22 in January in Valencia.
Carolien Millenaar, the two-time half-marathon national champion, took second in 33:16 with four-time national champion Helene Svane close behind in third with 33:27.
