Olympic champion and twice European indoor champion Keely Hodgkinson is set to compete over 800m for the first time at a British Indoor Championships for the first time since 2020, after accepting her invitation to compete at this year’s event in Birmingham on 14-15 February.
Her likely opponents include 2024 world indoor silver medallist Jemma Reekie. Hodgkinson last competed at the British Indoor Championships in 2022 where she tested her speed over 400m and came away with silver.
Anning, Azu, Hunt and FitzGerald also bidding for British success
Also committed to Birmingham are world indoor 400m champion Amber Anning, world and European indoor 60m champion Jeremiah Azu, world 200m silver medallist Amy Hunt (women’s 60m) and European U20 3000m and 5000m champion Innes FitzGerald (women’s 3000m).
