Switzerland will send a team of 25 athletes to the Kamnik 2026 European Off-Road Championships including Up and Down defending champion Roberto Delorenzi and four-time European champion Maude Mathys.
Mathys is one of Switzerland’s most successful mountain and trail runners of all time, with several world medals across multiple elite series’, and three European mountain running titles.
This year she will be competing in the trail race, which is 52km with a 2450m ascent and descent when the championships head to Slovenia 5-7 June.
Delorenzi has established himself at the top of the sport for years, taking gold in the 2024 edition for the up and down race, while placing fourth in the uphill.
