Great Britain and Northern Ireland have confirmed their team of eight athletes that will travel to Italy for the Spezia 2026 European 10,000m Cup.
Olympian, Jess Martin, makes her return to elite international competition having taken time out after the Rio Olympics and London 2017 world championships to start a family.
This year she set a 10km PB in Valencia of 32:04 followed by a half marathon PB of 1:10.54 in February, showing her strong form ready for her return.
Leading the men’s side of the team is Matt Ramsden, who placed sixth the Lagoa 2026 European Cross Country Championships in the U23 race, as he opens his track season.
While Jack Kavanagh is yet to contest opened his track season with a 4:01.44 mile in May after a 13:55 5km in April ahead of the European Cup in Italy.
Charlotte Dannatt, Lizzie Wellsted, Lucy Jones and Holly Weedall complete the women’s team with all four making their senior international debut.
Wellsted, at just 19-years-old, set a 10km PB of 32:49 in Valencia earlier this year and clocked 34:41.15 in the 10,000m in April.
