The official championship medals for the inaugural Brussels-Leuven 2025 European Running Championships have been revealed.

The designers of the medal took inspiration from the journey every runner embarks on. The hexagonal shape represents strength, resilience, and unity; just like the runners who will push themselves to the limit.

The striking 2025 engraving seamlessly merges with the medal’s edges, symbolising the fusion of past, present, and future in the world of running and the bold typography reinforces the power and determination needed to complete a marathon, half marathon, or 10km.

Plus, the electric blue ribbon reflects the vibrant energy of the event itself. The two host cities, Brussels and Leuven, are proudly displayed, marking a race that will take participants through historic streets and breathtaking landscapes.

Each medal is a symbol of achievement, a reminder of the training, dedication, and perseverance that every finisher will carry with them long after they cross the finish line.

Entries nearing capacity

For the first time ever, regular runners will have the chance to run with elite athletes in a European Athletics championship event. Plus, the top 25 runners from each country – elite and amateur - will have their result contributing to the country’s team ranking in 10km, half marathon and marathon distances.

The courses feature the iconic European Parliament in Brussels, the famous Tervuren Park,  Leuven’s majestic City Hall and iconic brewery. Entries are nearing full capacity for all events, but there are still some places available.
