European long jump champion Malaika Mihambo will compete against 2023 European indoor champion Jazmin Sawyers in Rehlingen, Germany, on 24 May.
Mihambo, a former Olympic and world champion, had a muted indoor season, competing on just four occasions at domestic level, while Sawyers did not compete at all indoors.
They will renew their long-standing rivalry outdoors as Mihambo eyes a potential third European title in Birmingham from 10–16 August 2026, while Sawyers looks to return to medal contention on home soil.
It is one of several intriguing clashes scheduled at the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meeting.
