Femke Bol's coach Laurent Meulwy has revealed that the Dutch superstar will not race over 800m again in this indoor season, despite her highly encouraging debut in Metz on Sunday (8).
According to EME News, the Swiss coach said "Femke still had a little too much respect for the 800m. You can see that in her split times. On her third 200m she was slower than on the final lap," reviewing her Dutch record-setting run of 1:59:07.
It was also confirmed that she would not race over the distance again during the indoor season.
She is due to race over 600m at the World Athletics Indoor Tour event in Liévin on 19 February and there is still a possibility she may race in the 4x400m at the Kuajawy Pomorze 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships on 20-22 March.
