Czech Olympic semifinalist, Pavel Maslak, is the favourite in the 400m and in the pole vault Steven Lewis (UK) will be up against the home crowd's efforts to propel Polish vaulter Lukasz Michalski to a winning performance.

The men's hammer will see four Olympic finalists compete against home star Pawel Fajdek, who will be vying to make up for a disappointing Olympics where despite some good efforts, he didn't progress past the qualification round.

The women's 1500m will feature former Russian number one, Yulia Chizhenko.
