Only a few days remain before the start of Rieti 2026, the European Athletics U18 Championships scheduled at the Raul Guidobaldi Stadium from 16 to 19 July.
Tomorrow, Monday 13 July, there will be just three days to go before the start of the competitions, and the organisational machine is entering its busiest phase: the first international teams are arriving, with around 220 athletes and coaches ready to reach the city.
More than 2,000 people are expected in Rieti for the competition alone, without counting fans and supporters. The first arrivals include the delegations of France, Germany, Ireland and Croatia, while the remaining groups will complete the arrival of the 48 participating nations on Tuesday, bringing more than one thousand young talents from across the continent.
VELINO STAND HEADING TOWARDS A SOLD-OUT, TERMINILLO AVAILABLE FOR €5
Meanwhile, excitement is growing in the city, where preparations for the event continue. The arch welcoming athletes and visitors to the Fan Village has been installed, becoming one of the visual symbols of a championship that will transform Rieti into the European capital of youth athletics. The area will embrace the city for almost a week with food, entertainment and merchandising activities.
The ticket race is also continuing. It is a real U18 European Championship fever: sales on TicketOne are progressing at a strong pace, and the Velino Stand, the stadium’s main seating area, is close to a sell-out both for single-day tickets and the full four-day pass.
The Terminillo Stand remains available, offering a truly immersive experience to watch the competitions from a privileged viewpoint. It is an opportunity to follow the challenges of Europe’s best young athletics prospects up close.
Prices remain affordable to allow everyone to take part in the great sporting celebration: €5 for a single-day ticket and €15 for the four-day pass. Rieti is ready to welcome the continent’s best young athletes: the wait is almost over.
