The atmosphere around Rieti 2026 is getting hotter and hotter: from Thursday to Sunday (16–19 July), more than 1,100 athletes from across Europe will battle for titles at the European Athletics U18 Championships at the Raul Guidobaldi Stadium.
The competition will have a rich prelude on 15 July, with the opening ceremony at 6.00pm. in the city centre, and every evening, the Fan Village in Piazzale Leone will offer pleasant evenings with restaurants and a DJ set.
The growing anticipation is turning into concrete action: on TicketOne, more than 3,800 tickets have already been sold for the Velino stand, the covered stand at the Guidobaldi, which is slowly selling out. Daily tickets for the Velino stand range from 10 euros on the start side to 15 euros on the finish side.
All thanks to the top‑level competitions, the excitement around the Italian team, the presence of two athletes from Rieti in the national squad (Cristina Morelli and Matteo Innocenzio Varga), and in general a continental 'parterre de roi' that promises fireworks in the Rieti stadium.
With the Velino stand almost sold out, it’s worth remembering that there is still space in the Terminillo stand, with very competitive prices. Tickets cost five euros and make watching the European U18 Championships an immersive experience, not only for following the competitions, but also because the Terminillo stand will host athletes from 48 nations who are not competing at that moment and will be cheering for those on the track and in the field.
