The educational project associated with the European Athletics U18 Championships, scheduled for 16-19 July 2026 in Rieti, has officially launched. It will engage approximately 500 high school students in various modules covering topics such as sports, ethics, sustainability, inclusion, and well-being.

The goal is to engage young people in a journey leading up to the Championships, conveying the fundamental values of sport and, in line with the event's mission, addressing central themes for the future. The project has received strong support from Rieti's schools. It will continue until March, establishing itself as a milestone of this historic moment for the city.

The program was designed in collaboration between LOC and Enovation Consulting, a leading company in the sports sector with extensive experience in sustainability, to instil in young people the core values of sports culture, such as ethics, commitment, and teamwork, while combining them with key pillars of a modern and conscious society: Social and Environmental Sustainability, Well-being and Nutrition, Inclusion and Accessibility.

The official launch and first training sessions will be held at the Costaggini Institute in Rieti, with the participation of about 500 students from several high schools in the city.

Students will be divided into three mornings, scheduled for December 1, 2, and 3, to discuss and work in teams on key concepts. The first module will focus on Social Sustainability, addressing issues such as equity, community involvement, and volunteering. The second module will focus on Environmental Sustainability, analysing the impact of sporting events on waste, transport, and biodiversity.
