Four days of competition, from Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 July, with morning and afternoon sessions that will showcase the future stars of European athletics. The timetable for the Rieti 2026 European Athetics U18 Championships has been released. 

Timetable

At the Guidobaldi Stadium, 40 titles will be awarded (20 men’s and 20 women’s) in competitions involving around 1,200 athletes born in 2009 and 2010.

The first day will mainly be dedicated to heats and qualification rounds but will already award the first gold medal, in the men’s 3000 metres. Six finals are scheduled for the second day, 15 for the third, and 18 for a very full final day. All medal ceremonies will take place at the Guidobaldi Stadium at the end of each afternoon session and immediately before the start of the Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon events.

In the fifth edition of the European Athetics U18 Championships, athletes will compete on the following disciplines. Running: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 100m/110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, 2000m steeplechase, medley relay (100m-200m-300m-400m). Walking: 5000m (track). Jumps: high jump, pole vault, long jump, triple jump. Throw: shot put, discus throw, hammer throw, javelin throw. Combined events: decathlon (men), heptathlon (women).
