Reigning world and European indoor 60m champion Jeremiah Azu is confirmed for the BAUHAUS-Indoor Galan in Stockholm on 22 January and the ISTAF Indoor Dusseldorf on 24 January.

In a rematch of the 2025 European Athletics Indoor Championships, Azu takes on European indoor silver medallist Henrik Larsson on home soil in Stockholm. Azu won the title in 6.49 by 0.03 ahead of Larsson who set a national record of 6.52 in the final.

Two days later, Azu will face a strong German contingent in Dusseldorf including German 100m and 200m record-holders Owen Ansah and Joshua Hartmann and Chidera Onuora who finished second at this meeting last year.

Azu will be targeting back-to-back titles in the 60m at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Kujawy Pomorze (Torun) from 20-22 March before he turns his focus to the outdoor season which will be highlighted by the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham from 10-16 August.

Azu won 100m bronze at the 2022 European Athletics Championships at the age of 21 and was also part of Great Britain’s gold medal-winning team in the 4x100m relay.

Both the BAUHAUS-Indoor Galan and ISTAF Indoor Dusseldorf are World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver meetings. The full schedule of World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver, Bronze and Challenger events can be found here.

Live streaming details for the 2026 indoor season will be communicated in the upcoming weeks.
