Estonia’s Rasmus Roosleht was close to his best in his first heptathlon of the indoor season, winning the Tallinn Combined Events meeting at the weekend (31 January-1 February).
The 23-year-old home athlete produced a consistent series to total 6045, just 17 less than he scored when finishing seventh at the Apeldoorn 2025 European Athletics Indoor Championships.
Roosleht was the only combined eventer to break the 6000 points-barrier with Czechia's Ondrej Kopecky taking second overall with 5812 points. Hungary's Zsombor Galpal was third with a lifetime best of 5758 points.
The pentathlon was won by Hungary’s World University Games silver medallist Szabina Szűcs, who scored an early season world lead of 4494 points across five events, to hold off Italy’s experienced Sveva Gerevini by 55 points with Poland's Paulina Ligarska third with 4416 points.
European U18 heptathlon champion Enni Virjonen from Finland was fifth with a lifetime best of 4371 points.
